Starting a new association at MUBS is a great way to bring students together around shared interests, cultures, or academic goals. Follow these steps to establish your association:

Requirements:

• Minimum Membership: At least 20 registered MUBS students must express interest in joining.
• Constitution: Draft a constitution outlining the association’s purpose, leadership structure, and operational guidelines.
• Leadership Team: Appoint a president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer, all of whom must be in good academic standing.
• Faculty Advisor: Secure a faculty member to serve as an advisor to guide the association’s activities.
• Proposal: Submit a formal proposal to the Dean of Students, including the constitution, member list, and advisor’s consent.

Steps to Form:

1. Gather interested students and hold an initial meeting to discuss the association’s goals.
2. Draft and finalize the constitution with input from potential members.
3. Identify a faculty advisor and obtain their written agreement.
4. Compile the list of at least 20 members with their student IDs.
5. Submit the proposal package to the Dean of Students’ Office for review.
6. Attend a meeting with the Dean’s Office to present your proposal, if requested.
7. Upon approval, register the association officially and plan your first event!

Association Duties:

• Annual Reporting: Submit an annual report by December 31 each year, detailing activities, finances, and membership updates.
• Compliance: Adhere to university policies on events, finances, and conduct.
• Engagement: Organize at least two events per semester to engage members and promote the association’s mission.
• Transparency: Maintain accurate financial records and share them with members and the Dean’s Office upon request.
